Lots going on this week and its only Wednesday!!! My sister had her baby girl today!! Johanna Marie was born Oct 27 at 11:02am 5lbs 5oz and 18.5" long! My cousin had her baby yesterday at 12:28pm 5lbs 7oz 18" long! Lots of babies this year!! Its my grandma joans 10th great grandchild! She had 3 grand children born in 1984 and 3 greats born in 2010 now!
Nurse Kathy came to visit from the NICU! We had a WONDERFUL visit and I believe Brielle remembered her voice. She just looked up at her when she was talking. It was sweet to see her again!! I dont miss going to the NICU every day three times a day but I DO miss the nurses and friends you meet!! I keep in touch with quite a few of them which is nice!!
I wrote an article for http://www.preemiebabies101.com/ambers-story/ and late last week www.growingyourbaby.com contacted me to write them "a short story" So I completed that Monday and sent it. I'm not sure when exactly it will be posted! I never thought I loved writing until I started this blog! Maybe cuz its just something thats dear to my heart and I dont have to think about it, it just comes to me :)
Amber, the link needs an "s" after babie. I don't know if you can edit your article to add it. http://www.preemiebabies101.com/ambers-story/
ReplyDeleteI spent a little time on this site. The stories are SO interesting! I'm certain your stories help a lot of moms/dads going through the same thing because you add so much detail in a way that's easy to follow. Congrats on all the interest in your writing! I think you're a natural! Keep up the good work!
Welcome Johanna!!! Bri is lucky to have a cousin her age to play with! So are mom and dad:) Although she is smaller than Bri for some reason she still looks bigger to me...Now that I'm back in here I see you have your story posted..I'll have to check it out:) How exciting can't wait to read it:) Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteJosh and Amber Congratulations on your new niece, she is really a cutie! She'll be a nice playmate for Brielle. Glad to hear Bri is doing good, she sure is growing. It is nice that you keep in contact with some of the nurses, they have been a big part of Brielle's life. It is WONDERFUL that you are doing some writing and some stories. All of your experiences, good and bad, WILL help other parents that have to go through a journey like yours. I know if such things were available when our twins were born, it would truly have been helpful and a little comfort to hear other people's views and words of wisdom. You do a wonderful job, Amber. Take good care. Good thoughts and prayers being sent. Tell Josh congratulations on his nice deer, Good for him. Love Debbie
